Josep Malonda Rodríguez was born in Badalona and currently resides in Bigues i Riells.

He joined the orchestra in the 2024/25 season as an instrumentalist. He plays the trombone, the fiscorn (a typical Catalan instrument) and the violin.

He is a lover of different styles and rhythms of music, but he is especially fond of music that touches his heart.

In his free time, he is a fan of motorcycles, cars and contact with nature. I also "appreciate the traditions of towns and cities".

As a curiosity... "many years ago, I recorded the TV3 program "Tres pics i Repicó", in which the Maravella Orchestra performed. These great musicians and singers made me fall in love. I still keep that recording with much affection!"
