Ernest Sánchez is known by his stage name "Ernest Ginkgo". He was born in Vic and now lives in Santa Eugènia de Berga. He is a baritone singer with a deep and versatile voice, and he joins the Maravella Orchestra in 2025.

His powerful and expressive voice fits different musical styles, with influences from gospel, rock & roll, and Catalan rumba, genres that have shaped his artistic character.

He finds inspiration in nature, enjoying outdoor sports and sharing moments of freedom. It’s no coincidence that his stage name, Ginkgo, comes from a Chinese tree, a symbol of strength and resilience—values that also define his musical path and, above all, his personality.

He is also known for his kindness and energy. Besides singing, he plays the guitar, the gralla, and various percussion instruments, which allows him to explore rhythms and melodies from different places and musical traditions. We can say he is an "adventurous baritone" both on stage and in life.

After seeing us perform a few years ago in Granollers, he began thinking that, with time, he would like to join our stage and be a part of Maravella.
